Let Me Tell You About pay pal: pay pal Is A Horrible Option For Expats

If you have made purchase on line before chances are you have heard of pay pal.  This product is a great way to make secure transactions over the internet if you are living in your home country.  However if you are living overseas and the IP address does not match the country your home address is in you are going to run into trouble.  I booked a class with them awhile ago and because I started the transaction in a country other than the one that matched my mailing address they put a stop on it.  They did not let me know they just let it not go through and kept my money frozen so I could see it in my pay pal account but could not use it.  I asked them after a few days why it had not gone though and they told me because my address on record did not match the country IP I made the purchase with.  That was all well and good but when I asked them to just return the money to my account and I would pay another way they said they had the right to keep it for thirty days before they released it.  Now that is the big problem with Pay Pal.

What Will Happen When Iraq Jobs Go Away And Wages In The Middle East Go Down?
Written by J.M. Jones

With wages slowly going down in the Middle East with some companies is it really worth it to work in places like the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq and Afghanistan if other companies go down the same road.  Some companies are paying people to work in the Middle East as much as others pay people to work in Asia or Europe.  Has the flood of expats brought the expat job market down in the Middle East job market?  Many companies are still paying high dollars to people willing to work in a Middle East location but there are some growing in numbers that just do not pay what they used too.  There are jobs posted in Afghanistan for satellite technicians that pay about $115,000 a year.  Why would someone take that job when they can make more in a place like Kuwait where they get to live in an apartment rather than a tent?

Cebu Philippines

Cebu located in the Philippines is starting to become popular with tourists looking for a vacation in a tropical paradise that does not break the bank.  Resorts in the City and on the island of Lapu-Lapu can be a little expensive and with new buildings going up all the time it can be a little crowded.  If you are looking for coastline you can see and an area that is a lot less crowded you will want to travel south of Cebu City.  About two and a half hours south of Cebu City there is a small town called Boljoon and it has some very beautiful resorts and diving areas.  We stayed at a resort called “Cebu Club Fort Med” and had a great time relaxing by the ocean, tasting a variety of local foods,  swimming in the ocean, and hiking along some beautiful coastline.  There are many different resorts in the southern region of Cebu that are not only a great alternative to Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu they are a lot cheaper.  We paid about $90 for a room in Cebu City at the Water Front Hotel and Casino and only $41 for a bungalow by the beach in Boljoon.

Are you single?  Are you currently in the military or have military experience?  Are you a technician?  A single person who has technical experience and is currently a member of the military or have had experience in the military you have a bright future as an expat.  If you are married or have some other expertise other then electronics or networking you can still have a career as an expat but this article is for the single technician.  There are plenty of companies out there that have government contracts and need people willing to travel and live in foreign countries.  They also need people who know how the military dose business.  Whether you only spent four years or twenty years if you have an honorable discharge government contracting is an option that you should consider.

When you finally decide that you are ready to move overseas it seems like the biggest questions have been answered. One thing you have to ask yourself is. “What do I want to get out of working overseas?” There are a lot of different answers to this question. Some are only looking to travel and get paid for it and others are looking for a big paycheck. You will more than likely fall between these two extremes. There is nothing wrong with making some good money or just taking some time to travel the world on someone else’s dime.
